Well we are back in one piece, many with sore feet & blisters, but a good time was had by all, photos will be added over the next week or so (we have over 1000 to choose from) so we'll see what we can do.

Pipe Major Smith Spotted in Nova Scotia
We have reason to believe that Pipe Major Richard Smith of the Mains of Fintry Pipe Band, has been spotted in Nova Scotia, Canada in early July. But with no sign of the Mains of Fintry band members.
We may need to try and confirm this sighting, but we do have one photo for you.

Extra Practice Night Added to Band's Schedule
As of July 22nd, the band will also be practicing at St Andrews Parish on a Sunday Evening from 6pm, for more details speak to Eddie Wighton at Band Practice.

Pipe Band Quiz Night @ The Globe Bar, Dundee
We would like to announce (at short notice) that the Mains of Fintry Pipe Band, will be holding a quiz night on Tuesday 26th June at the Globe Bar in the Westport, Dundee. The quiz will start at 8:00pm, the entry cost of £2 per person or a team of 6 for £10 (maximum of 6 members per team).
All proceeds will goto the Mains of Fintry Pipe Band and there fundraising work for the trip to Confolens to represent both Dundee, and Scottish Music. £100 Raised, Thanks to All Who Turned Up, and Paul at the Globe for organising everything.

New Band Committe Members Sworn In
We would like to announce a change to our band committe. The band's treasure is now Liz Moss and the band secretary is Sharon Wighton. We would like to welcome them to the Mains of Fintry Pipe band Committe, and would also like to extend our thanks to Billy Shepherd for his time and effort as band treasurer, and also to thank Iain Bryson for taking the time to be secretary.

Band Calls EGM
The Mains of Fintry Pipe Band will hold an EGM on the 21st of May 2007. It will be held following band practice at 8pm in the usual location. The band would be grateful if all members can attend. Should you be unable to attend then you may provide your vote by nominating a proxy to act on yuor behalf or by contacting webmaster@mofpb.co.uk and voting by e-mail.

Monday Night Venue Change
Band practice will be held at Ardler Community Centre from the 28th May 2007 until further notice. The first practice falls on a Bank Holiday therefore will be moved to the Wednesday 30th for week only.

Pipe Band Invited to Perform At French Music & Arts Festival
The Mains of Fintry Pipe Band have been invited to perform over 7 days at the Festival de Confolens from August 8th to August 15th this year. The band will be performing on the same stage as acts from the USA, South Africa, France, China, Columbia, Italy and many more. The band have performed at festivals like this for many years perfecting there performances year after year.

Burn's Supper Raise Morale & Band Funds
The Mains of Fintry Pipe Band, would like to thank everyone involved in the Fund Raiser on the 9th of February. A good time was had by all, with a great meal, and some great entertainment provided by "A Parcel O` Rouges".

Band Burn's Supper Ceilidh Draws Ever Closer
And so it's now only 5 days until the highlight of the Fundraising Calender. The Mains of Fintry Pipe Band, will be holding its sell out Burn's Supper Ceilidh, this Friday evening (9th February). We hope to have photographs of the night up as soon as they become available.
The band would also like to thank all band members and family members for there contribution over the past 12 months. Without you the band would not be as it is today.

The Mains of Fintry Pipe Band, would like to wish everyone a Happy, Healthy & Prosperous New Year.
Well a New Year is upon us and the band will return to practice as of Thursday 4th of January. The band will be working hard on both there 2007 Grade 4 competition set, and there Grade 3 Medley. This will be the first time the band has played a Medley structure in competition, and we wish the band all the best for 2007.
